[At Discount Tire, Man #1 is checking the air in my tires.]
Man #1: Do you have time?
Me: Uhh, excuse me?
Man #1: Yeah, do you have time?
Me: (confused look, thinking he's trying to ask me out?)
Man #1: Yeah, your front passenger tire has a leak and we'd like to patch it up for you.
Me: (embarrassed.) Yes, of course..
[At Discount Tire, Man #2 is checking my account info in the computer.]
Man #2: ..So where do you work?
Me: Uhh, excuse me?
Man #2: Your work. Where do you work?
Me: (confused look, thinking he's trying to ask me out?) Umm, I used to work at [redacted]?
Man #2: Oh, because you've hardly put any miles on your car. It's just odd, that's all.
I need to get it out of my head lol.
What Unemployment Means to Me
From the first 24 hours:
Walking around the house in a t-shirt and undies most of the day.
Actually having time to get groceries.
Actually having time to cook food.
Actually having time to eat food that is not fast food (i.e., crap).
Being able to play with my daughter.
Being able to take my daughter somewhere outdoors that isn’t straight to the car and straight to day care.
