i can has a break?

We had an inspection last week and apparently our grass was “too tall.” They were supposed to check it again today…

I was set to mow the lawn this morning after barely remembering about it last night.  So I set my alarm like super duper early today (okay, like 7:45am.. not as early as Kevin’s 4:25am alarm).

I hear thunder + lightning, but I convince myself through fuzzy eyes and between the blinds that it couldn’t possibly be raining.  I get dressed, go to the garage and open the garage door —

…Yeah, it’s raining.

I kinda hope that they don’t come by today for that fact.  Maybe they’ll do the run-throughs tomorrow so they don’t get their toesies wet.   And if not — if they do come today — our pockets will be a bit emptier today  :-(
