Total Spoilers Ahead.

WARNING: Don’t read if you haven’t seen the new episodes.

Okay, with that out of the way, here are the things I’ve noticed (along with millions of other people, I’m sure) about the two new episodes of Lost.

  1. It doesn’t appear that Locke (nor Ben, for that matter) told any of the Oceanic 6 about the island moving back in time.. nor that Ben was the one responsible for the boat blowing up.  I think if Jack knew it was Ben who ultimately pulled that “trigger,” he wouldn’t be following Ben this whole time.
  2. Kate says, “Oh, I think Choo-choo knows better than that.  He goes into that tunnel, he’s never comin’ out.”  Might be kinda like how the O6 came out of the “tunnel” and will never go back in?  Or something to that effect.
  3. Eko’s brother’s plane landed about 2-10 years *before* the Losties crashed on the island.  So the part in the episode where Sawyer and Juliet’s group are still in time after the Losties blew up the hatch (and therefore have already landed on the island) and Locke is just barely seeing the plane crash land indicates that either Locke and Sawyer are in two different points in time.. or the writers screwed up.  :-S
  4. When Sun is telling Widmore that she also wants to kill Ben, I think she might just be telling the truth.  (There was a moment there when I thought she might have been chosen by the O6 to pretend.. to get on Widmore’s good side.)  There’s a pretty good chance that, as far as Sun is concerned, Widmore wouldn’t have known that her husband was (going to be) on the boat when he set up the C4.  So she probably doesn’t have a reason to really blame him for the explosion affecting Jin.  However, Ben did know that Jin was there (right?).
  5. Go to the middle of Chapter 4 of episode 5x01.  When Locke tells Richard that Ethan was the one who shot him, Richard says “What goes around, comes around.”  He said it backwards, likely because we’re moving backwards in time!  Teehee!
  6. Also in Chapter 4, you’ll find a discrepancy in the online episode.  You’ll have to turn on the closed captioning.  When Richard finally finds Locke and helps him with his bullet wound, Locke asks Richard, “The noise, when the sky lit up, where did you go?”  Richard replies, “I didn’t go anywhere, John.  You went.” although the closed captioning says something entirely DIFFERENT!  (I could tell you here, but it’s more fun to discover it on your own!)  ;-)  [Edit: I watched it a second time, and it appeared just like he said it.. not like what I read the first time!!!  :-O  If you don’t see a different line there, ask me and I’ll tell you what I saw.]

That’s it for now.. I’ve gotta get ready for work now!!!
